We have been keeping bees for four generations in Indiana and we enjoy making products out of honey such as honey beef jerky, honey caramel corn and honey dog treats, along with producing about 10 varieties of honey. We specialize in honey farm tours and invite you to visit the gift shop on our honey farm.

Laney Honey Co. began in 1982 when Dave & Kay Laney decided to leave the corporate world and expand their beekeeping hobby into a business. They saw the need for good, fresh, local honeys from the Indiana/Michigan region. Rather than mixing all honeys together under one label, they separated each variety by floral source, and began working with other beekeepers to maintain this concept. We produce our own honey, as well as package honey from other beekeepers. All of our honeys are from the USA, primarily the Midwest. Our line of honeys currently includes 12 distinct varieties. Our honeys are unfiltered and minimally processed, which preserves the distinctive flavors, trace minerals and pollen grains. Take a look at our YouTube video!

Happy Dance Honey gets its name from the “waggle dance” that bees do to communicate the location of rich nectar sources to other bees.  Our honey is so local you can see visit it at our bee yards in Kendall County, Illinois! We typically bottle twice a year so our friends can taste and appreciate the delicious difference in flavors between summer and fall harvests.

We sell 1- and 2- pound bottles and 12 oz honey bears. We can offer smaller and larger quantities to lovers of honey, grocery and specialty stores, and restaurants. We also sell beeswax and other specialty items such as Creamed (whipped) Honey.

We love teaching kids and adults about the biology and necessity of honey bees. Consider having a group outing at our bee yard, or we can come to you. Outings are always free!
